Chesapeake Bay No Human Interaction

Before industrial farming and fishing, the food web for the Chesapeake Bay was more expansive and interconnected. There were only small amounts of green algae and hardly any algal blooms. This is because there were less nutrients being dumped into the BAY. Also because there were rarely any algal blooms resources were more available for all marine life. There were abundances of sea floor plants and sea grass (since algal blooms microbes did not take up large amounts of resources primary producers needed). The large abundance of resources (such as oxygen, other minerals, sea floor plants, and sea grass) allowed the marine life in the Chesapeake Bay to thrive.
